Projects
RISC-V32I ASIC Tapeout
Fall 2025
Sponsor: Northdrop Grumman
- Designed a 32-bit RISC-V RV32I processor core with a 4-stage pipeline supporting the full base instruction set.
- Implemented the architecture in SystemVerilog and verified functionality using simulation and test benches.
- Completed full ASIC design flow including synthesis, place-and-route, timing analysis, and verification using Cadence EDA tools.
- Targeted the FreePDK45 process and achieved approximately 100 MIPS performance at ~1 W power budget.
- Generated final GDSII layout for fabrication tapeout after passing design rule checks (DRC) and layout-versus-schematic (LVS) validation.
